“Was ist mit uns los?” is probably the song from the new No. 1 album “Trink aus, wir müssen gehen!” that’s generating the most reactions for Die Toten Hosen. At their concerts, the song is a moving highlight of the set every night. The band reports that they receive a particularly large number of emails and messages about “What’s Going On With Us?” from people who feel the same way: at a loss as to where everything is headed, and unsettled by the harshness and hatred that are increasingly defining our society. Many also say that the song gives them strength amid all this confusion and makes them feel a little less alone with their thoughts and worries. That’s why it quickly became clear to Die Toten Hosen that this song absolutely deserved to be released as a single. “Was ist mit uns los?” will be released on September 25 as a limited-edition, individually numbered 7" vinyl single, with a run of 6,000 copies. As B-sides, Die Toten Hosen have covered two of their favorite songs: “Israelites” and “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’.”
