Classic heavy rockers ORCHID currently are on a real triumphal march through Europe. Within the past few days they sold out their shows in Essen, Cologne and Munich. For the upcoming gigs in Berlin and Würzburg are still some tickets left.

Founded in San Francisco/USA in 2007, ORCHID are among the most exciting new bands in the international rock scene. Being associated with such acts as LED ZEPPELIN, BLACK SABBATH or PINK FLOYD, their compositions are set to be timeless classics. After just two smaller independant releases – 1 EP and 1 album – their second Album, released on Nuclear Blast, made a real statement. In May 2013 »The Mouths Of Madness« entered the Germany media control charts on postition #18.

The band's huge potential became obvious when they played this year's Rock Hard Festival. Being booked on a pretty early newcomer slot, ORCHID were received extremely well from both audience and media and were chosen as one of the two best and most interesting bands on the festival.

Furthermore, ORCHID have quite a bunch of prominent musicians among their fans. METALLICA mastermind James Hetfield tweeted his excitement for the band on the internet and lead guitarist Kirk Hammett booked ORCHID for a show in San Francisco. Also ex BLACK SABBATH drummer Bill Ward spoke about ORCHID in an recently conducted interview with the US magazine ROCKCELLAR. Being asked if he had any current favourite bands, he responded: „There is a new band called ORCHID. They´re a bit Sabbathy and I really like them.“

It's their passion for wanting to revive different generations of rock music influences that led the band to a sold out club tour after just one proper international release.

Renowned UK magazine CLASSIC ROCK put it in the right words by stating „Occasionally, a gig happens that has the capacity to become a landmark. So, here we have three young bands [ORCHID, SCORPION CHILD, BLUES PILLS], each with an already well developed personality, and linked by a vision to take rock further into the 21st Century. If this is the future, then it’s in safe hands.“

The band's newest release, entitled »The Zodiac Sessions«, encompasses their early works (the »Through The Devil's Doorway« EP and the debut album »Capricorn«), both remastered and put on one CD in a lavish digipak featuring an all new cover art, created by the band's gifted singer, Theo Mindell. On vinyl both parts of »The Zodiac Sessions« will be released separately – on 10“ (»Through The Devil's Doorway«) and on 2LP 12“ (»Capricorn«) and will be made available in various colors.

»The Zodiac Sessions« is going to be released tomorrow, Friday, November 15, 2013.
