CHRISTMAS BASH – Rock with the „Bashman“! On the 1st and 2nd of December, the loudest christmas party in South Germany will return for the third time! The CHRISTMAS BASH invites all metal fans to headbang in Geiselwind in the name of the General from the Thirty Years War, the "Bashman”.
KREATOR, DORO, EDGUY and OVERKILL have been enlisted to grace the stage at the event so fans should hurry and get a ticket while they still can!
On Friday at 9:45pm CET, OVERKILL will kick off the Nuclear Blast run. The legendary New Jersey thrashers have released their highly anticipated album »The Grinding Wheel« in 2017 and entered the charts worldwide (#4 Canada Hard Music, #5 UK Rock Top 40, #10 Germany and many more). The show in Geiselwind will be part of their »MTV Headbangers Ball« tour.
On Saturday, metal queen DORO will hit the stage and perform a rare old school set of her biggest hits! Doro comments: "I'm very excited for the CHRISTMAS BASH in Geiselwind. Fans can expect countless classics from our »Triumph And Agony« album which was released 30 years ago and will be performed (almost) in whole! We will also play 2-3 German songs from our new album »Für Immer« (27.10.17). In addition, we have a special surprise: DORO will present a brand-new anthem of our new album, which is scheduled for August 2018! Everything else is a secret so far." This is an absolute must-see for all die-hard metal fans and also for all visitors who want to experience the unbelievable rock queen in all of her facets!
EDGUY, the band of famous creative mind Tobias Sammet (AVANTASIA) celebrate their 25th anniversary this year. With the release of their new album »Monuments« (#6 German album charts), the band conquered an almost sold-out tour. Founded in 1992 by a group of passionate 14 year olds, the band is one of the most international successfully metal bands from Germany! The show in Geiselwind will see EDGUY celebrating their anniversary with a best of set packed full of classics! Tobias Sammet explains: "It’s now time to celebrate our anniversary with our fans. We'll celebrate our quarter century with the release of »Monuments« and LIVE in some selected cities! We'll perform a best-of set list, a journey throughout our past, with a lot of fuss and at full throttle! The first quarter century is over and we want to honour these years with our fans! To the next 25 years!"
Famous for their phenomenal live shows, thrash metal pioneers KREATOR, are sure to be a highlight of the festival. With albums that form the basis of German metal history, Mille and his band mates refuse to stop their relentless output. Founded in 1992 under the name TYRANT, KREATOR released their 14th album »Gods Of Violence« this year, which entered the charts at #1 in Germany, as well as making waves in Sweden’s Rock/Metal chart and in the USA (Heatseeker). This success was only solidified when the band reached position #16 in the official album world charts. Their set is one not to be missed!
