For those just returning from their holiday break eager for some positive news to begin 2015, here’s the latest from the NIGHTWISH camp.
The title of the Finland-based symphonic metal storytellers‘ eighth studio album will be Endless Forms Most Beautiful, an inspirational excerpt from a quote by English naturalist Charles Darwin, best known for his contributions to evolutionary theory via his 1859 book On the Origin of Species:
"There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved."
"This classic quote is where it all began," shares NIGHTWISH founding member, songwriter, and keyboard player Tuomas Holopainen. "We set sail from the ultimate journey in March 2015. Join us!"
"Mixing and Mastering," the ninth episode of NIGHTWISH’s album trailer series, can be viewed on the Nuclear Blast YouTube channel: http://youtu.be/fXVd9h0aAcY. "Mixing an album could be compared to editing a movie," states Holopainen. "We have to arrange the clips into a dramatic arc and find a good balance."
