Today, the energetic workaholics that make up KORPIKLAANI return with their ninth studio album »Noita«, which promises to get you dancing on feet, banging your fists and most importantly, having a good time. It is also the first album with the new accordion player Sami Perttula, who has had a remarkable influence on the traditional folk arrangements, along with Fiddler Tuomas Rounakari, making a perfect balance between Folk and Metal as frontman Jonne always envisioned.
The press agrees:
“Noita is the perfect combination of what Korpiklaani knows how to do best. An album rich in sense, in folk power and all sublimated in a dramatic atmosphere. Noita is a jewel!"
Metallian Magazine (F)
"I was actually quite amazed of how good the album was, a crossroads of old finnish culture and modern metal. Heavy sound, good compositions and more than a few perfect tracks."
KAAOSZINE (FIN), Olli Vesanen
"New tales from the woods, brewed with perseverance, joy, passion and Finnish traditions. A versatile opus of Northern uniqueness!"
