Doro Pesch recently rocked several legendary clubs in the American capital cities. But the stage Doro will enter on September 19th for her very first time, even creates goosebumps of the stage-experienced metal queen: Doro will act at „Rock in Rio“!
“This is amazing and a dream coming true”, says Doro Pesch, who will be the first female German artist ever to conquer this legendary stage.
„Rock in Rio“ celebrates its 30th anniversary. On its first – out of four – editions, there were a.o. QUEEN, AC/DC, IRON MAIDEN and the SCORPIONS playing. On the upcoming, fifth edition the headliners are called METALLICA and MÖTLEY CRÜE - and DORO will enter stage alongside the Brazilian Power Metal heroes of ANGRA, who had DORO as a guest singer on their current new album, for the song 'Crushing Room'. “Now the members invited me to perform this track along with them at “Rock in Rio”. I think that we might also play my hymn 'All We Are' “, adds the metal queen.
But before DORO will write German metal history in September, she will act with her band on a German tour, starting on April 19th in Saarbrücken, ending up on December 19th in Nürnberg. Special guest on the dates in April and May will be Norwegian rock act SPITFIRE.
