"Transference," the first new track from CHILDREN OF BODOM’s eighth studio album Halo Of Blood, is now available for purchase on iTunes: http://smarturl.it/COBiT.

COB frontman, guitarist, and mastermind Alexi Laiho shares the following about the new song: “’Transference’ has an evil vibe to it which I wish I knew how to explain because it still gives me chills. This is one of our favorite tracks from the new album. Enjoy!”

Fans who pre-order the album via iTunes prior to its June 11th release can download the new song immediately.

CHILDREN OF BODOM recorded Halo Of Blood at Finland's Danger Johnny Studios (in a top secret, undisclosed location in Helsinki) with recording engineer Mikko Karmila, who worked on the Hatebreeder (1999), Follow the Reaper (2001), and Hate Crew Deathroll (2003) albums. Producer Peter Tägtgren (Immortal, Marduk, Amon Amarth) oversaw production on both vocals and keyboards. The album was mixed at Finland’s famed Finnvox Studios. Cover artwork was created by artist Sam Saramäki, known for his work on classic COB records such as Follow the Reaper and 2005’s Are You Dead Yet?
