Three years have passed since Austria’s kings of non-repentant supreme death-black metal art, BELPHEGOR, unleashed their highly acclaimed Blood Magick Necromance album. Following that release the band was forced to take a break after frontman Helmuth suffered a near death experience, which caused the band to go on hiatus cancel several tours in 2011/2012. Now, BELPHEGOR will return stronger than ever with Conjuring The Dead! The tenth album from one of the metal world´s most bizarre and authentic acts, is set to be released on August 5 (N. America), August 8 (EU), August 11 (UK/FR), 2014 via Nuclear Blast.
Helmuth discusses the new album:
“The tenth full-length entitled Conjuring The Dead is tracked. For over two years we worked on the nine compositions. We got every arrangement to the highest audio potential, added a lot of new, haunting, and compelling structures/ rhythm parts and tritone intervals. We decided to record in the USA this time. The combination of European Metal's cold and sick elements crossed with an American brutal sound was the master plan. We're on fire! Expect more shredding, more magick, more of everything.”
Conjuring The Dead was recorded under the guidance of Erik Rutan (CANNIBAL CORPSE, GOATWHORE, HATE ETERNAL, etc.) at Mana Studios in Florida.

BELPHEGOR’s most recent masterpiece Blood Magick Necromance was produced by the legendary Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY) at his Abyss Studios (IMMORTAL, DIMMU BORGIR, HYPOCRISY, DARK FUNERAL etc.) in Pärlby, Sweden and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren. The album was released on January 14th, 2011 in Europe and on February 8th, 2011 in North America.
