Swiss new wave of folk metal pioneers ELUVEITIE and WINTERSUN, are currently co-headlining a North American tour together. The trek commemorates ELUVEITIE’s 10th anniversary as well as serve as WINTERSUN’s introduction to North American shores. This momentous event also includes the German pagan metal band VARG.
ELUVEITIE released The Early Years, a collection of re-rerecorded and re-mastered early material, on September 25th.
ELUVEITIE scanned 4,242 copies of their latest album Helvetios in its first week of sales in the United States according to Nielson Soundscan. Helvetios came in at #143 on the US Billboard Top 200 Chart and #3 on the Heatseekers chart, making it their highest charting record yet! ELUVEITIE also cracked the Canadian Top 200 coming in at #73! Helvetios was released on February 28 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records.
WINTERSUN’s long awaited new album Time I was released on October 22, 2012 via Nuclear Blast. The record scanned 3,870 copies in its first week of sales in the United States according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album debuted at No. 109 on the US Billboard Top 200 chart, making it their highest first week sales yet!
