British progressive metal protagonists THRESHOLD announced the release of their new live album »European Journey« recently and today the band is presenting the first track from the forthcoming release. Shot by fans across various venues in Europe, the video for 'Watchtower On The Moon' draws a perfect parallel with the new live album. Proudly premiered by Prog Magazine, the video can be seen here: https://prog.teamrock.com/news/2015-09-24/threshold-release-watchtower-video
Keyboardist Richard West commented on the video:
"It's so cool to have a video compiling some of our performances from the last tour. It was stitched together from fan footage of various shows across Europe, so it has good parallels with the live album which was also recorded at a number of shows during the tour. 'Watchtower On The Moon' is one of our favourites from the last studio album, it's full of energy and great to play live. I think »European Journey« does a wonderful job of capturing the power and atmosphere of a THRESHOLD show, it just makes me want to get out there and do it again!"
The double-live-album »European Journey« was recorded during the November 2014 »For The Journey« tour. The album consists of 15 live tracks and will be released as a 2CD digipak on November 13th via Nuclear Blast. Pre-order the live CD now:
Commenting on the experience of recording the live shows, Richard West states: "We had a fantastic tour playing so many fan favourites going back to '97 with 'Part Of The Chaos' through 'Mission Profile,' 'Pilot In The Sky Of Dreams' to the present day with 'The Box.' We recorded some shows along the way and it's turned into this really powerful double album" - with guitarist Karl Groom adding: "We continue to enjoy fantastic support from our loyal fans. The band has always enjoyed mixing with the people who listen to our music and this tour was no exception”.
