London modern metal mob THE DEFILED have debuted their new video, “Unspoken,” on YouTube: http://bit.ly/13iSDoL

“Unspoken” was directed by Robin Fuller (Dååth, Hawk Eyes) and produced by Craig Tuohy of Ascension Productions, whose work on the trailer for The King’s Speech won him a Golden Trailer award.

“This video sums up what ‘Unspoken’ is all about,” shares The AvD, who handles programming, keyboards, and backing vocals for THE DEFILED. “We wanted a very specific scene in there where the two protagonists are smiling at each other and shaking hands with knives behind their backs. This very scene was the inspiration for the actual Daggers cover, as this theme runs throughout the whole album.”

The AvD adds:

“This was the most fun we’ve had filming. [Vocalist and guitarist] Stitch and I tried our hand at acting… and we nailed it! Not really. We’re terrible actors. We also got to work with our old pal Robin Fuller, who directed our first-ever video, ‘The Resurrectionists.’”

“Unspoken” comes from THE DEFILED’s second studio release Daggers, due out in North America this summer. The album was recorded at Audio Hammer Studios in Florida with producer/engineer Jason Suecof (Death Angel, Job For A Cowboy, Atheist, Charred Walls Of The Damned). Album artwork was designed by Scott Chalmers.
