Legendary Brazilian metal icons SEPULTURA, have premiered the music video for the track “Da Lama Ao Caos”, a Chico Science & Nação Zumbi cover, at the following location: http://www.metal-hammer.de/video-audio/premieren/article577659/premiere-seht-hier-das-neue-sepultura-video-zuerst.html.
“Our relationship with Nação Zumbi is very cool,” commented guitarist Andreas Kisser. “When SEPULTURA was starting to use Brazilian percussion, Chico Science was emerging at the same time, doing almost the opposite. While we were incorporating Brazilian music into the weight of heavy metal, they were adding the weight of rock guitars into the unique sounds of Pernambuco’s regional music. The song ‘Da Lama Ao Caos’ is an example of that.”
The song is taken from the band’s most current and 13th studio album, The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart, which was released this past October via Nuclear Blast.
The video directed by Rafael Kent and the team of Okent Films in co-production with Music&Art. The clip was filmed in one day and explores the plasticity of the aesthetic elements of Pernambucan culture, which is represented in SEPULTURA’s version of the song.
