On October 2, 2024, the Große Freiheit 36 in Hamburg became a fortress of extreme metal. The night promised not only relentless brutality but also a mix of thrash, death, and crossover metal that turned the crowd into a swirling mass of chaos.
Belgium's Schizophrenia kicked off the night with their energetic thrash/death metal blend. Since the release of their debut album “Recollections Of The Insane” in 2022, they have firmly established themselves in the scene, and their performance in Hamburg showed they're rising stars. Their mix of aggressive riffs and intense stage presence got the crowd fired up right away.
Immolation took over next, drenching the venue in a dark atmosphere. Their technically demanding death metal sound, alongside classics like “Everlasting Fire” and “Father, You’re Not A Father”, proved why they’ve remained a staple of the genre for decades.
