Austria’s kings of non-repentant, supreme death-black metal art, BELPHEGOR, are currently finishing up the recording sessions for the highly anticipated follow-up to 2011’s Blood Magick Necromance. The sessions are taking place at this very moment at Mana Studios in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (CANNIBAL CORPSE, GOATWHORE, HATE ETERNAL). Vocalist/guitarist/head blasphemer Helmuth, is busy finishing all vocals, overdubs and lead guitar parts.
"Just returned from Leeds where we nuked the ingenious Damnation Festival. England is always a pleasure to shred. This time was no exception: what a brutal crowd it was,” stated vocalist/guitarist/head blasphemer Helmuth. "I already tracked the four rhythm guitars at Mana Studios in Florida. This album is gonna be brutal, way more death metal blasphemy than the last records. The nine sound collages will reveal a new dimension of chaos, with the uttermost aggressive soundwall possible. It’s fantastic to work with Erik! This dude is really challenging us to give our best. You demons deserve it!"

The as of yet untitled album is tentatively scheduled for a worldwide release in March 2013 via Nuclear Blast Records.

This will be band’s first album since Helmuth’s near death experience, which caused the band to cancel several tours in 2011/2012.
BELPHEGOR’s most recent masterpiece Blood Magick Necromance was produced by the legendary Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY) at his Abyss Studios (IMMORTAL, DIMMU BORGIR, HYPOCRISY, DARK FUNERAL etc.) in Pärlby, Sweden and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren. The album was released on January 14th, 2011 in Europe and on February 8th, 2011 in North America.
